This rug originates from the village of Nain located in central Iran. Nain is one of the top names in Persian rugs - the design is outlined in silk and the wool is exceptionally fine Kurk tightly hand knotted on to sturdy cotton warps and wefts. The basic colours used in Nain rugs are blue and cream giving an illuminate and soft air to the rug.
